Stone walls come in all shapes and sizes, their appearance dictated as much by the hugely diverse geology of this country as by the brief or design to which they are built.

For over twenty years we have been putting up stone walls of all types in private gardens, public parks, commercial developments and across fields. Some of these works are affirming boundaries, some provide privacy and security and others simply provide pleasing sculptural sweeps through parkland.

In all cases the finished look of a wall is the result of the combination of the material chosen and the input of the waller  - the more natural and less “processed” the stone the greater control the waller has over the result, and for this reason we tend to like working with as-dug materials where possible.

The variety of materials we have used encompasses many limestones, sandstones, basalts, granites, schists, flints and slates. Sometimes the material is chosen to suit a location, design or function and sometimes the design is determined by the choice of a particular stone.
